Five Minute Movie is a new website channel to showcase movies one to ten minutes long! These include short films, docs, TV shows, movie trailers, music videos, and other short-format media. We will include a variety of "mini-mercials' of 5, 10, 15 and up to 30 seconds in length between films. Monthly subscribers can bypass these commercials, just as they can on YouTube and Netflix.

Movie trailers are essentially the epitome of 'short films.' The movie trailers tell a story, within a story, and help the viewer decide if they want to watch all of it. Here is a sample movie trailer from the film "Kodachrome," one of the finest films ever made.

See a sample documentary, "Speed Kills", about keeping teens safe while driving. It is being re-edited into a 30-minute production soon. This 10 minute film was produced with the cooperation of the Kelowna RCMP with sponsors from across Canada. 

Documentary trailers enable the viewer to preview the movie to decide if the content is interesting. Trigger warnings need to be added to the trailers if the content may offend or upset some viewers. See a sample doc trailer here on suicide awareness.

Handcraft Film produces documentaries based on true, factual, drama-based stories. These documentaries have no commercials within the movie, but will have sponsors and supporters listed in the film credits, which help produce and fund the films.
