Most communication and especially negotiation courses are rooted in the idea that someone must lose for another to win. Arguments, disagreements and conflict arise out of manipulation and control that overshadow the ability to find common ground and compromise. Another challenge with negotiating is that one or both parties feel backed into a corner and are unwilling to listen to or seek a sensible resolution. Other courses and workshops follow a script for convincing others to accept their ideas.

Often in life, you do not get what you want or even deserve, but you DO get what you can negotiate for. Whether it is a business or personal relationship, learn to be a better communicator and negotiator in this one-day, in-person, hands-on workshop. We feel these skills are NOT based on you winning and someone else losing, but on finding mutually agreed-upon solutions that benefit both parties. 

Often, this involves developing trust and a strong foundation for your relationship, and asking for what you want and what you can offer in return. As Canada struggles with job losses and increasing insecurity about their jobs and careers, focusing on your negotiation skills can often lead to a more rewarding and higher-paying position. Many graduates of this course credit these skills for a better job and pay.

Our workshop is a combination of lecture, questions and answers, voluntary role-playing and hands-on experience. It can be conducted in-house or in a studio for the general public, and is held at Staples Studio in Kelowna, BC, Canada. The course is $199 per person, including GST, with a discount for multiple attendees and groups. This fee includes morning and afternoon refreshments and beverages, lunch, a workbook and a certificate of completion for every attendee. It is also a GREAT networking event too!
